Assignment:

  • Part-time 0.40 Educational Assistant position Tuesdays, and Thursdays
    Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year

    To provide support and assistance to young children (Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1) in one-on-one and small group settings

Qualifications and/or Assets:

  • Experience working with young children would be considered an asset
  • Ability to recognize and respond to children's emotional needs
  • Ability to maintain a professional composure
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Work harmoniously with teachers and other support staff
  • Willingness to attend Professional Development available by the division or to assist with the needs of the students
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of programs and assigned duties
  • Calm and patient approach to solving problems
  • Reliability and eager to learn would be considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented learning environment
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience
  • Background and/or Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant would be considered an asset
