Math Competition Instructor

Job Overview

U-Wing Education is seeking an experienced Math Competition Instructor to teach advanced math and prepare students for major North American math contests.

Duties

  • Teach math competition courses such as:

AMC, Math Kangaroo, Caribou, Gauss, and other contest programs

  • Provide tutoring for higher-level math courses:

Pre-Calculus 12, Calculus 12, AP Calculus, AP Precalculus

  • Prepare structured lesson plans and assign practice problems
  • Track and evaluate student learning progress
  • Offer feedback and communicate with parents when needed

Skills

  • Familiar with major North American math competitions (AMC, Kangaroo, Caribou, Gauss, etc.)
  • Prior experience teaching math contests required;

Having coached award-winning students is a strong asset

  • Able to teach high school senior mathematics (Pre-Calculus 12, Calculus 12, AP classes)
  • Strong mathematical background with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication; patient and responsible with students
  • Teaching experience with small groups or 1-on-1 is preferred
  • English required;

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 20 per week
