Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Calgary, AB, for a Sales Executive at RISE Headquarters. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with potential clients, leading sales outreach initiatives, and driving revenue growth. You will engage with new and existing clients to promote RISE programs and offerings, manage sales pipelines, and negotiate contracts. Additionally, you will collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to craft and implement effective sales strategies, ensuring that client satisfaction and organizational goals are met.

Key Accountabilities

Reports directly to the President of Operations, ensuring alignment with organizational sales goals, outreach strategy, and facility-wide growth objectives by providing structured weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reports.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, athletes, parents, coaches, and partner organizations to promote RISE programs and services.
  • Conduct outbound sales activity, including cold calls, email campaigns, and social outreach, to generate new membership and partnership leads.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through closing and account follow-up.
  • Strategic planning, tracking, reporting, and retention initiatives
  • Schedule and conduct in-person and virtual sales presentations and facility tours, effectively showcasing RISE's full range of offerings.
  • Manage inbound inquiries and convert leads into active members, renters, or partners.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales activity benchmarks, including calls, appointments, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
  • Leverage RISE's CRM and other digital tools to manage pipelines, document touchpoints, and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Develop proposals, quotes, and contracts in accordance with established processes and pricing models.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to execute promotional campaigns, sales activations, and special events.
  • Represent RISE at community functions, family events, youth programs tournaments, and expos to expand brand awareness and generate business opportunities.
  • Assisting RISE by identifying new trends in the marketplace, monitoring competitive activity, gathering market intelligence, thereby assisting RISE to develop solutions to support client & market requirements
  • Maintain a deep understanding of RISE's facilities, programs, and unique value propositions to tailor pitches effectively.
  • Work flexible hours—including evenings, weekends, and event days—to meet the demands of the facility's operations.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of RISE's culture of excellence and growth.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sport management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years of proven success in sales, business development, or customer engagement, ideally in a sports, fitness, or recreation setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with cold calling, lead generation, and closing sales in a target-based environment.
  • An ability and willingness to adapt to continuous change;
  • Able to envision and create sales strategies and campaigns, achieve business goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present to individuals and groups.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, dependable, a fast learner, able to work independently and within a team, and able to thrive in a competitive, fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Collaborative and team-focused, with a passion for youth development and community building.
  • CRM and automation expertise campaign tracking, funnel reporting, and retention analytics..
  • Experience managing both B2C (families) and B2B (schools, clubs) pipelines
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for offsite meetings or activations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events as needed.
