Role
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a vital member of our Strategic Sourcing team, you'll collaborate closely with the Category Manager, playing a key role in shaping our sourcing strategy and ensuring a robust and efficient procurement process. This is your opportunity to dive into supplier management, contract negotiations, and exciting category-specific projects.

Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you'll have the autonomy to own your work and contribute meaningfully to our continued success.

Responsibilities

• Shape Our Sourcing Future: Partner with the Category Manager to implement and refine smart sourcing strategies that adapt to market trends and seize supply opportunities.
• Elevate Supplier Partnerships: Support the ongoing management of our valued suppliers, ensuring they consistently meet our high standards for performance, quality, and compliance. You'll help track their progress and drive continuous improvement.
• Master Contract Management: Assist in crafting and renewing agreements that deliver exceptional value in terms of cost, quality, and smooth operations. This includes managing supplier contracts, ensuring policy adherence, and negotiating favorable terms.
• Harness the Power of Data: Maintain accurate supplier information in our systems (like NetSuite) and generate insightful reports to track performance, pricing, and contract status.
• Drive Savings and Efficiency: Help identify and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and continuous improvement projects to unlock cost savings and boost efficiency.
• Fuel New Product Innovation: Support the sourcing needs for exciting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, identifying, evaluating, and securing the best materials and services on time and within budget.
• Collaborate Across CoolIT: Partner with our talented teams in Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program/Project Management to ensure everyone is aligned on sourcing requirements and project timelines.
• Become a Market Expert: Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of trends, identify potential new suppliers, and discover exciting sourcing opportunities.
• Uncover the Best Suppliers: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, leveraging market insights, performance data, and cost analysis. You'll turn complex data into actionable strategies for procurement and supplier management.

Who You Are
Basic Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-4+ years of proven success in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Education: A post-secondary degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Sourcing Savvy: Hands-on experience in sourcing, evaluating suppliers, and managing contracts across a diverse supplier base.
• Analytical Prowess: A strong ability to analyze data, assess supplier performance, and contribute to impactful cost-saving strategies.
• Systems Skills: Familiarity with procurement systems (NetSuite or similar) and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications like SCMP or CPSM.
• Experience navigating global supplier networks and international sourcing.
• Some experience in negotiating supplier agreements.
• Understanding of technical specifications and industry-specific procurement in a technical environment (Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing).
