As our Human Resources Generalist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our organization. What You'll be Doing:
- Creates and modifies employment agreements, Schedule B agreements application kits, HR related letters/documents, and termination letters
- Supports recruitment and conducts orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth transition for all new hires.
- Maintains accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with Company policies and legal requirements
- Administers the Performance Review Program and assists Managers/Supervisors with feedback and coaching for employee development
- Manages exit interviews and logs responses in relevant reports
- Serves as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace concerns across business units
- Conducts workplace investigations, facilitates conflict resolution and attends disciplinary or termination meetings for positions below Executive Level as required
- Ensures compliance with employment standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies
- Gathers data and supports reporting to government or regulatory bodies (e.g., MOL, HRTO)
- Supports the assessment of training needs, coordinate training sessions, and evaluate program effectiveness
- Act as backup for payroll processing when needed
- Acts as backup for ADP Driver Profile creation when needed
- Supports Head of Human Resources by participating in HR audits, producing documentation/reports, maintaining and generating HR metrics reports, and participating in special and complex projects
- Other duties to be assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, or in progress, is considered a strong asset
- Minimum 2 (two) years of experience in HR
- Active and current Ontario Drivers license is required for regular travel as needed
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian hiring laws, regulations, and cultural nuances
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; can prioritize and multi-task while managing multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English
