We are hiring for a Supervisor at our Austin Save-On-Foods location in Coquitlam, BC.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the store team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
- Supporting the management team in achieving operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising, and front end operations.
- Providing support across departments as needed to maintain service and operational standards.
- Supporting with team member related initiatives as requested.
- Communicating key messages to the store team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Reviewing business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.
- Assisting the management team with implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
- Supporting with centre of store inventory as well as department stocktaking as required.
- Performing all job duties throughout the store as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.
You have:
- 2-4 years of retail experience.
- Leadership experience is an asset.
- Food Safe Certification.
- A post-secondary education in a business related field is an asset.
- Experience and/or knowledge with:
- Achieving sales targets and profitability.
- Financial planning and budgeting.
- Developing and executing merchandising plans.
- Human Resources (e.g. recruitment, training, development and coaching).
- Employee Relations and knowledge of the collective agreement (if applicable).
- Scheduling.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
