About this opportunity:

The Journeyperson Welder will focus on day-to-day maintenance operation, optimization, outages. Working closely with contact asset integrity and maintenance supervision to optimize operation, identify and resolve vulnerabilities. The Journeyperson Welder would identify and communicate potential issues, risks, and trends in a timely manner, and provide technical support to maintenance, to implement, and maintain the ongoing preventative maintenance program, influence and advise on timely corrective actions to maintain operations.

Work Environment:

• This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area
• Candidates must have the ability to work various hours (day shifts only). Work schedule to be determined.
• Overtime as required based on business needs and schedules.
• This is a unionized role (UNIFOR).

What you'll do:

• Act as Subject Matter Experts (SME) in regards welding fusion metallurgy.
• Understand and implement reliability and integrity programs.
• Participate in Preventative Maintenance optimization.
• Contribute to plan, recovery from planned and unplanned work.
• Report to the Supervisor trends, scope changes, schedule deviations.
• Work closely with QAQC, asset integrity, engineers to identify issues and opportunities.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Journeyman B pressure Red Seal.
• Minimum 5 years working in maintenance plant environment.
• Minimum 8 years B pressure welding.
• Minimum 8 years experience in Oil and gas production.
• Proven leadership & mentoring skills.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
