Duties
- Lead user research initiatives to gather insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points through interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Develop comprehensive wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or Axure to communicate design concepts clearly.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, front-end developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective UX solutions that align with project goals.
- Design engaging interaction flows and layout structures that optimize user journeys across responsive web design and mobile applications.
- Apply design thinking principles to iterate on concepts rapidly, incorporating feedback from usability tests and analytics data from tools like Google Analytics 360 or Adobe Analytics.
- Ensure all designs adhere to web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for inclusive digital experiences.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate design implementations and refine interfaces based on real-world usage data.
- Maintain detailed documentation of design patterns, information architecture, user flows, and layout specifications for seamless collaboration within Agile teams following SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies.
- Utilize data visualization techniques to present complex information clearly and effectively for diverse audiences.
- Stay current with emerging trends in UX/UI design, front-end development frameworks such as React or Angular, and new tools like Zeplin or Balsamiq to continuously elevate design quality.
Skills
- Proven experience designing for e-commerce platforms with a strong understanding of product development cycles in Agile environments.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, React Express, Bootstrap, and RESTful APIs to facilitate effective collaboration with development teams.
- Expertise in digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Axure, Omnigraffle, Zeplin, Balsamiq, Adobe Dreamweaver, and SharePoint.
- Strong knowledge of interaction design principles and UI/UX best practices for web accessibility and responsive web/web app design for mobile devices.
- Skilled in requirements gathering through user research methods like surveys (Qualtrics), interviews, analytics review (Google Analytics 360), A/B testing (Adobe Target), and data analysis using SQL or other analysis skills.
- Familiarity with information architecture techniques including creating user flows, sitemaps (Visio), wireframes (Less CSS/SCSS), layout design principles, motion graphics (Adobe After Effects), and visual storytelling through motion graphics or visual design elements.
- Experience working within SDLC frameworks using tools such as Jira for project management and version control.
- Ability to analyze usability issues critically while applying design patterns that enhance overall user experience across multiple platforms including web applications built on WordPress or Drupal.
