Job Overview

Do you love working in a kitchen environment where quality and consistency are key? Sorrentino's Century Park is looking for a part-time Dishwasher to join our team This is a key position within our organization that plays a critical role in providing excellent internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and/or manual methods.
  • Ensure dishes are returned to their appropriate storage areas clean, dry, and undamaged.
  • Perform regular cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, garbage removal and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Assist in cleaning coolers, freezers, and kitchen equipment as scheduled or directed.
  • Dispose of garbage, recycling, and compost appropriately and frequently.
  • Maintain clean and safe floors and walkways during busy service periods.
  • Ensure all equipment is shut down properly and the dish area is clean and stocked for the next shift.
  • Notify the Chef or Sous Chef of any maintenance issues or safety concerns.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is an asset, but not required.
  • Knowledge of proper handling of cleaning chemicals is an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
