ECHO Power Equipment (Canada), a well-established, premier supplier in the outdoor power equipment industry in Canada, is seeking a talented, team-oriented individual, dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and VIP Service to our dealers throughout Canada in the role of:
Warehouse Material Handler (Picker/Shipper)
The Warehouse Material Handler (Picker/Shipper) is a full-time, permanent position reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded experience across all areas of warehouse operations, including order picking, shipping, inventory control, and material handling. This role is responsible for accurately preparing and shipping customer orders, maintaining organized inventory, and safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment. The successful applicant will be a reliable team player who supports day-to-day warehouse activities and contributes to a clean, efficient, and safety-focused work environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Accurately pick and pack LTL orders and prepare them for timely shipment in accordance with daily cutoffs
- Construct and stage outbound pallet shipments for timely and secure transport
- Processing and packaging outbound orders using various transportation systems (Loomis, UPS, Purolator, LTL)
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks for deliveries and pickups
- Perform product assembly and packaging as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and full physical inventory
- Maintain organized and clearly labeled storage locations
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks and other material-handling equipment
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks for deliveries and pickups
- Work with customer service when resolving order or shipping discrepancies
- Identify low-stock items or inventory inaccuracies and report to supervisor or purchasing
- Prepare and assemble materials for shipping or inventory
- Provides assistance with day-to-day facility maintenance, including basic repairs, lighting replacement, minor painting projects, and seasonal outdoor tasks.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE requirements and equipment operation rules
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in all areas of warehouse work is an asset
- Must have a Forklift License and 2 years' experience
- Demonstrated self-starter who works independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic,
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs
- Highly organized.
- Excellent communication skills.
Environments Conditions:
- Warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Some dust and noise, consistent with a warehouse environment.
- Walking & standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
- Heavy lifting and climbing up and down ladders.
- Forklift Traffic.
