Living Hope Christian Church is seeking a passionate and spiritually grounded individual to join our team for the position of Youth & Young Adults Pastor. This role focuses on leading and developing volunteer leaders who disciple and invest in our youth and young adults. The ideal candidate has a heart for the next generation, a proven ability to develop leaders, and a strong commitment to building a Christ-centred ministry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership Development

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders
  • Build a leadership culture marked by prayer, accountability, and shared mission
  • Provide regular coaching and spiritual encouragement to ministry teams

2. Ministry Oversight

  • Give direction to youth and young adult gatherings, groups, and events
  • Support teams in planning and facilitating weekly/monthly programming
  • Align ministry with the overall mission and values of the church

3. Relational Engagement

  • Build relationships with key leaders and young people
  • Encourage connection and belonging within the church body
  • Provide pastoral support during key seasons and life transitions

Qualifications:

  • A strong sense of calling to this position.
  • Display the character traits of 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
  • Agreement with the church's beliefs, mission, and values
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and team development
  • Passion for youth and young adult ministry
  • Strong communication and relational skills
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Biblical studies (preferable)

Work Expectations:

  • Regular attendance at church services and leadership meetings
  • Preach once a month as per the senior pastor direction
  • Collaboration with Lead Pastor and staff team

  • Hours: 20 hours/week (Opportunity to become full-time)
