Mechanical Engineer – Electromechanical Systems

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary product development team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with electrical engineers, production technicians, and assembly teams to design, prototype, and optimize electromechanical systems and mechanical components for production.
This position requires a strong foundation in SolidWorks, design for manufacturing (DFM), and mechanical integration within complex electromechanical assemblies. Experience with miniaturized designs and wearable devices is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for electromechanical products.
- Collaborate with electrical and production teams to ensure smooth integration of mechanical and electronic systems.
- Create detailed SolidWorks 3D models, 2D drawings, and comprehensive engineering documentation compliant with GD&T standards.
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, and cost.
- Support prototype fabrication, including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly testing.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, material selection, and structural or thermal analysis to ensure reliability and performance.
- Participate in design reviews, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to product refinement.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to validate and improve production processes.
- Provide hands-on support during prototyping, assembly, and production ramp-up.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development within an electromechanical environment.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, simulation, and documentation.
- Knowledge of production methods including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, and 3D printing.
- Understanding of mechanical–electrical integration, including component mounting, enclosure design, and cable routing.
- Experience applying DFM/DFA principles and collaborating with production teams.
- Familiarity with miniaturization, wearable systems, or compact product design is an asset.
