Junior Accountant

THE ROLE

The Junior Accountant will support the accounting team with daily bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks, with a primary focus on inventory accounting, credit card reconciliations, and assisting the team.

This entry-level role would ideal for someone looking to begin their accounting career and gain hands-on experience with a team of professionals in a complex accounting environment.

YOUR DAY

• Maintain accurate inventory bookkeeping, ensuring proper costing, tracking, and reconciliation
• Perform credit card reconciliations and follow up on missing receipts or discrepancies
• Assist the Senior Accountant with three-way matching (PO, invoice, packing slip) for vendor accounts
• Support sales tax data preparation and filing requirements
• Help prepare schedules, documentation, and reports for month-end and year-end close
• Maintain organized financial records and uphold internal controls and accounting best practices
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by management

OUR REQUIREMENTS

• College diploma or other education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general comfort with accounting software
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
• Successful completion of a background check

THE FINE PRINT

This is an in-office position in Uxbridge, Ontario.

The salary range for this role will fall between $41, ,000/annually.
