Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in plumbing systems, ensuring that installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship while working on various residential and commercial projects.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with local codes.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including HVAC technicians and carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
  • Execute welding tasks when necessary for pipe fittings or system modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used on each job site.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency in HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Experience in maintenance tasks related to plumbing and construction work.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
  • Competence in carpentry skills as they relate to plumbing installations.
  • Capability for heavy lifting when necessary for job tasks.
