Role Overview
The part-time Sales Coordinator position is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual with a keen interest in contemporary art. The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for handling all sales inquiries, client relations, and executive administration tasks for artist Martha Sturdy.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sales & administration role, preferably in a contemporary art gallery setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as independent organization skills.
- Proficiency with technology including ArtGalleria, Salesforce, Sage, and Outlook.
- Eligible to work in Canada and based in the Vancouver area.
- A self-starter with a background in client relationship coordination is an asset.
- Passion for the visual arts and understanding of the global art market is an asset.
Hours
2 days of in-person hours at the Vancouver studio are required, combined with remote hourly work for ongoing coordination of email inquiries. Remote-only candidates will not be considered.
Hourly Rate
The hourly rate is $30, based on experience.
About Martha Sturdy
Martha Sturdy's contemporary sculptural practice investigates the primal qualities of raw and rugged materials, often combining industrial processes with organic matter to explore properties that are found in nature. Materiality plays an essential role within Sturdy's work, involving a highly-physical manipulation of rigid and challenging media ranging from resin, brass, bronze, steel and aluminum, to salvaged wood from the rural and mountainous Canadian landscape. Martha Sturdy's works are collected internationally, and she is represented by Caldwell Snyder Gallery in California, CoBrA Gallery in Shanghai and Heffel Gallery across Canada.
