Founded in 1991, Colonial Acres Coins has grown from a small hobby to a thriving retail and online business with nearly thirty employees. We specialize in Canadian coins and collectibles, serving collectors worldwide with expertise and exceptional service.

We're currently seeking a detail-oriented and creative photographer to join our Inventory Department. This role focuses on capturing and editing high-quality images for our website and occasional auction listings, while providing great customer service via phone and email.

This is an on-site, full-time, permanent position — ideal for someone with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for precision.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • One Saturday per month, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (rotating schedule)

All photography equipment will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Photograph and scan numismatic products for online listings using Canon EOS Utility and Canon equipment
  • Edit images for colour, clarity, and consistency using Adobe Photoshop
  • Upload product images to the website, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Organize and maintain digital files and product inventory records
  • Provide occasional imaging support for auctions
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Assist with website navigation and order placement for customers
  • Help in the storefront one Saturday per month
  • Perform other related duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of photography experience (macro photography experience preferred)
  • 1–2 years of Adobe Photoshop experience, including batch processing and action sets
  • Experience with Canon EOS Utility and Canon products is an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to match colours accurately
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
  • Strong communication skills (French is an asset but not required)
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to pass a criminal record check
  • Numismatic knowledge is an asset, but not required
