We are a leading federal poultry processing company based in Etobicoke, Ontario specializing in raw protein products and services (Chicken and Turkey).
We dedicate ourselves to providing the highest of quality standards and earning the trust of many businesses in the space. After 30 years in business, we continue to work successfully alongside a diverse range of loyal customers including retailers, wholesalers, foodservice operators and more.
We are currently seeking to add a full-time Business Development Representative to our team.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate is responsible for maximizing business growth through actively seeking new customers and maintaining current accounts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop effective sales strategies to grow new business and meet company's business development efforts and goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers on a regular basis.
- Plan and execute scheduling for visiting locations including retail stores, wholesalers, restaurants, etc.
- Manage customer accounts throughout lifecycle from lead generation, customer onboarding, order preparation, customer service, issue resolution, to payment collection.
- Clearly communicate purchase orders to production team and have awareness of raw material requirements and production capacity to fulfill orders.
- Create and process sales orders and invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide back up support to other team members when necessary (production, finance, shipping, etc.).
Key Skills and Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Business or related field of study is preferred.
- Good business acumen combined with strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively work with a diverse customer base.
- Tenacity to see things through to fruition.
- Self-motivated, proactive and attentive to detail.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new programs.
- 1-3 years of relevant sales or industry experience preferred.
- Must hold a valid Ontario (G) driver's license and have a reliable vehicle for travel.
- English verbal and written skills required.
- Cantonese or mandarin spoken language is an asset.
