Overview

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Gas Station Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to customers, managing fuel and convenience store operations, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a positive attitude. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail sales experience, enhance customer service skills, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles efficiently
  • Operate POS systems for cash handling and transactions accurately
  • Manage merchandise displays and perform merchandising duties to promote products
  • Conduct product demos and upsell items to increase sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store, fuel area, and surrounding premises
  • Handle cash register operations including cashiering and basic math calculations
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including phone etiquette when communicating with customers or team members
  • Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves as needed
  • Support the team with general store duties to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a broader customer base
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
  • Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash handling responsibilities confidently
  • Time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Professional phone etiquette when interacting over the phone or with customers in person
  • Demonstrated sales aptitude with experience in upselling or product demos is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed
