Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries
  • Process orders from customers
  • Maintain records of all customer service transactions
  • Retrieve data (i.e. account information) from system
  • Assist customers with standard account-related requests
  • Provide information about service availability, charges and service conditions
  • Advise customers about inventory and order/shipment status
  • Research and resolve customer discrepancies, acting as the customer liaison between departments when necessary
  • Collaborate closely with other departmental staff to coordinate account activities
  • Invoicing customers
  • Dealing with drivers and providing excellent customer service
  • Perform other office duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Previous customer service experience in shipping/logistics (Preferred)
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully work both independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingual (English and French) would be an asset
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Computer literate, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and e-mail.
