JOB SUMMARY

The Production coordinator plays an integral role in production fulfilment. This role is responsible for Production Planning and Daily Planning to ensure all Production Planning Goals and targets are reached and opportunities for improvement are explored. This role is responsible for working with multiple contract packaging sites and ensure that the daily work plan is adhered to and advise the site production managers of events hindering the success of the plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan production of finished product to meet forecast and customer demand by creating production schedules for materials and resources using analysis of production capacities and packaging requirements for multiple customers.
  • Prepare Daily, Weekly & Monthly production schedule. Review all customer demands for fluctuation and adjust production schedules accordingly.
  • Monitor daily production output versus production schedule to ensure customer demand quantity is met Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule.
  • Maintain a lean manufacturing culture driving run size and safety level improvements
  • Follow daily work plans to include daily demands that ensure customer orders are presented to the production team in a timely manner
  • Directly involved with the release of production, packaging and labeling processes
  • Assigns and monitors the performance of production operations using efficiency standards and capacity from production
  • Participate in the collection, reporting, and feedback to improve work flow and shipments;
  • Participate in tasks related to grouping and releasing orders using the PMS system and timely communicating progress of production
  • Ensures communication between Production, Operations and customers for stock replenishment needs
  • Coordinates the desired delivery response times while paying close attention to the operational plan communicated to the site managers
  • Have exceptional knowledge of Nulogy (Production Management System) and work with the Production Managers to address any training or procedural gaps
  • Assist where necessary in developing and training of all Nulogy upgrades and modifications and ensures that Co-pack associates are made aware of any and all changes that directly affect them

EXPERIENCE

  • Some experience in high volume/multiple sku's production planning
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics

COMPETENCIES

  • Proven analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Service oriented with exceptional customer service skills and commitment to quality of work
  • Experience using MRP / ERP systems
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent technical skills, communication skills both written and verbal
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; specifically, but not limited to MS Excel, Access, Outlook and Powerpoint;
  • Excellent mathematical skills;
  • Organized and shows strong attention to detail
  • Adapt to changes quickly, as well as, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION:

  • College diploma in logistics/supply chain management is preferred
