Role:

In collaboration with the members of the engineering team, the senior project engineer ensures the coherence of the different engineering activities for a large-scale project, with the objective to respect the clients technical specifications and deadlines.

Tasks:

  • Close collaboration with the project manager
  • Regular communication with the customer's technical representatives
  • Communication with the various engineering managers of Fuji Semec
  • Regular updates with Michel, our director of engineering
  • Reading and follow-up of technical specifications
  • Production of drawings and sketches
  • Participation in design reviews
  • Search for technical consensus
  • Formalization of technical agreements with the client
  • Participates in the design of mechatronic systems
  • Technical and administrative writing related to the project for which you are responsible

Requirements:

You:

  • Have a BAC in electronic, electrical or similar engineering field, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in developing systems comprising various engineering elements (Mechanical, electronic, software)
  • Have a system vision in order to ensure consistency between the different engineering elements
  • Know how to present and negotiate a technical approach with a client as well as with engineering members
  • Have knowledge and interest in several fields of engineering. (Multidisciplinary approach to engineering)
  • With an excellent level of writing in English
  • Are autonomous but also able to work in a team
  • Possess excellent technical judgement, practicality, good creativity and attention to detail
  • Are known to be persuasive, a leader and motivator who easily adapts to change
  • Are perfectly bilingual (French, English)
  • Asset: relevant experience in the field of passenger transport or in the aeronautical field. Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks)
  • The candidate must also be willing to travel occasionally to Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia (approximately 10-15%)
