Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to company policies.
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high customer service standards.
- Manage merchandising efforts by organizing displays, pricing products accurately, and ensuring inventory levels meet customer demand.
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase store revenue through effective marketing, promotional activities, and customer engagement.
- Monitor store performance metrics, prepare reports, and assist with budgeting and payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions to build a strong team aligned with company values.
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting products and special offers both in-store and through community outreach.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within a retail setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising tools, and basic bookkeeping software.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
