Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of items.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Assist in the operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance on delivery vehicles when necessary.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with freight handling and logistics operations.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in automotive repair situations.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
