Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area for a Weaving/Knitting Machine Operator in the textile manufacturing industry. The primary responsibilities include operating and monitoring weaving and knitting machines, ensuring quality control during production, routine maintenance of machinery, and addressing minor mechanical issues as they arise. Candidates will work closely with a team to support efficient production processes and maintain high standards of product quality.

Qualifications

  • Basic English or French required
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following languages is an asset: Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Tamil, Punjabi, or Hindi
  • Experience with Machine Operation and understanding of basic machinery functions (not required)
  • Knowledge of Quality Control processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in product manufacturing
  • Strong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and report issues
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in the textile or manufacturing industry is an asset (not required)
  • Follow safety standards and work collaboratively with the team
