Position Overview:

As a Retail Sales Associate at City Furniture & Appliances, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking quality furniture and appliances. Your role is to provide exceptional customer service, assist in product selection, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Work schedule is Wednesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly and attend to their needs to provide personalized product recommendations.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the features and benefits of our product offerings to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining stock levels and organizing displays to ensure the showroom is well-presented.
  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Merchandising: Maintain tidy and cleanliness of the store. Assist with cleaning displays and merchandising. Contributing to vacuuming, dusting, re-organizing, etc. Also assist with creating new furniture/appliance displays - accessorizing.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous retail or sales experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends. Saturdays are a must.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work schedule is Wednesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm. IF a big sale day falls outside of your regular shift, you are expected to work the sale day. Notice will be provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
