We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dishwasher and Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that our food preparation areas are clean, organized, and efficient. Duties

  • Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Support cooking staff during meal service by ensuring that all necessary ingredients and utensils are readily available.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the safe handling of food products.
  • Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Participate in the cleaning of kitchen equipment and appliances to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with serving meals to guests when required, providing excellent customer service.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations within the food service industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with kitchen staff and other team members.
