Duties and Responsibilities:

Runner Duties

• Assist the trolley Harvesters in supplying empty trays for mushrooms and removing full trays to the hallway in an efficient manner
• Ensure that growing rooms are prepared with supplies prior to harvest starting throughout the day
• Clean the floors and remove unused materials from growing rooms once the harvest is complete for the day in a growing room
• Set up mushrooms houses with proper supplies and equipment for Harvesters
• Carry mushrooms to the front of the houses
• Stacking mushrooms on skids
• Assists the Harvest Supervisors in promoting a clean and safe working environment and in the control of the spread of disease
• Adheres to Safety Policies, uses proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
• As reasonably requested in aid of operations or culture compliance, performs other duties as assigned

Trayfill Duties

• Filling plastic trays with empty tills, following SQF requirements
• Follow order requirements to ensure completing daily orders
• Pick up trays and tills from the floor and stack appropriately for use
• Maintain communication with harvest room supervisors, packing, runners, and coordinators
• Check for inventory of tills and trays
• Cleaning working area and maintain tidiness
• Wrap trays and tills
• May load, stack, prep and clean the line as required

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada with no restrictions.

Hours of Work:

• 5 to 6 days / week
• Approximately 30 to 60 hours per week / 8 to 14 hours per day
• Public holidays / weekends as scheduled
• Daily shift end time vary based on production needs
