Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical thinker to join the Finance team as an Accounting Clerk. Located in the Regina Office, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for accurately processing invoices.

What you'll do

  • Analyzes and reconciles vendor statements and initiates the correction of entries.
  • Participates in establishing proper internal controls and checks and balances to ensure the accuracy, accountability, and integrity of the Accounts Payable system, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensures prompt clearance of vendor payment differences, overpayments and underpayments and other related issues.
  • Inputs data into financial systems and other operating systems.
  • Prepares for input vendor additions and changes into Accounts Payable system.
  • Verifies batches are approved and balanced.
  • Administers AP cheque disbursement mailout process.

What you bring to our team

  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail.
  • Effective Grade 12 or equivalent and successful completion of a recognized basic accounting course.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with financial system data input.
