Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and customer interaction, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products and exceptional service. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and organized deli area.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring freshness and quality.
  • Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing transactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and assisting with their orders.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations in the deli section.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cashiering duties is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation standards is beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
