We're looking for a highly organized and detail orientated individual to support:
- on mining projects to ensure QA/QC requirements are delivered
- compliance assessments (both remotely and on site) for a broad range of clients in different sectors
- development of management system documentation and material both for clients and internally
This position may be based on any of our Canadian offices, such as Burnaby, Vancouver, Calgary, Burlington or Toronto, and we offer flexibility with a hybrid work environment.
About The Role
- Developing compliance assessment tools to undertake audits at client sites using standards and/or regulatory requirements.
- Responding to requests related to standards and regulatory requirements.
- Developing management system documentation for use internally and on projects (including templates, management plans, procedures).
- Supporting in working towards certifications and other processes to allow the sustainability business to operate according to regulations and standards in place in the different Provinces and States we operate in.
- Utilizing documentation in the Ausenco Management System and updating procedures, process maps, templates and other documentation where needed for projects.
- Undertaking audits/compliance assessments both internally and externally, including on site when needed.
About You
- Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing quality systems based on the ISO 9001 standard, preferably for the mining sector, across project stages such as PFS, EPCM, Early Works, and related phases.
- Environmental engineering consulting experience would be desirable
- Professional governance experience with regards professional guidelines for practicing engineering in both Canada and the USA.
- Lead Auditor certification ISO 9001:2015
- Lean Six Sigma qualification and other ISO Lead Auditor certifications (e.g., ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018) considered an asset
- Comfortable working within and understanding regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in auditing (both internally and externally).
- Availability to travel to client sites as and when required.
- Ability to pay close attention to details, accuracy, timeliness and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, with strong skills in conflict management and resolution on a personal level.

Salary range: $100K to $120K annually
