Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting in meal preparation, and maintaining food safety standards. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as required for various dishes.
  • Assist in cooking and assembling meals under the guidance of the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
  • Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food is handled properly and stored at appropriate temperatures.
  • Support the team during service by helping with plating and serving as needed.
  • Participate in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.80-$20.86 per hour
