Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role requires effective communication skills, creativity, and the ability to engage with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience through teamwork and shared resources.
  • Employ effective classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly learning environment.
  • Provide support for children with special needs or disabilities, adapting teaching methods as required.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and the community to promote a supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and other documentation as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
  • Must have Level 2/3. No Level 1 or currently enrolled in Level 2 at this point.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; classroom experience is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French/Spanish is a plus.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations is important.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire children and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Proficient computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes.
  • Strong writing skills for documentation and reporting on student progress. Pay: From $16.50 per hour
