Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Production Line Team Leader to oversee daily operations on the production line in our food manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for coordinating and guiding a team of production workers to achieve production targets, maintain food safety and quality standards, and ensure smooth workflow. The Team Leader is expected to actively participate in production activities, including packaging, to set an example and support the team when needed.

Duties

  • Lead, coordinate, and monitor the activities of production line workers to meet daily production schedules.
  • Actively participate in production tasks (e.g., packaging, assembly, machine operation) as required.
  • Train and coach team members on safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Monitor equipment operation and promptly report any issues or maintenance needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and quality checks.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and accountability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, post-secondary education or equivalent, learning in business, economics, math, or related areas.
  • Fluency in the Chinese language will be a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to product quality and workplace safety.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and low temperatures.
  • Physically capable of lifting, standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on production duties, including packaging and machine operation.
  • Quick learner and excellent communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
