Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee our food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in food preparation, cooking, and customer service. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The Food Service Manager will be responsible for creating a positive dining experience for our guests while maintaining efficient kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee quality and presentation.
  • Manage team performance through effective training, mentoring, and scheduling.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
  • Conduct interviews and hire staff to build a competent team.
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement food safety protocols and ensure all staff adhere to proper food handling practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall hospitality experience.
  • Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
  • Strong background in cooking, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
  • Experience with POS systems; familiarity with Micros POS is a plus.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
  • Ability to manage cash handling processes accurately.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings is preferred.
  • Barista experience is an advantage but not required.
