What would my role be?
In collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy and working closely with the pharmacy leadership team, you will have the primary responsibility for establishing professional practice priorities of clinical pharmacists within inpatient programs at Bruyère Health. You will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all aspects of clinical pharmacy practice within the hospital. This role is accountable for advancing patient-centered pharmaceutical care, ensuring alignment with professional and accreditation standards, and supporting a culture of innovation, quality, and safety. You will participate in academic initiatives (student preceptorship, research, teaching) to advance clinical services.
You will be responsible for the recruitment, development, and performance management of clinical pharmacists, while maintaining a visible clinical presence to guide, mentor, and support staff. Through collaboration with interprofessional teams, you will promote excellence in patient outcomes, education, and research, and serve as a key leader in shaping the future of pharmacy services within the organization.
How do I qualify?
Required:
- Undergraduate Degree - Entry-to-practice degree in Pharmacy (Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy)
- Licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) - Pharmacist Registration/Licensor Part A
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
- Experience in the practical application of Pharmaceutical Care principles and clinical pharmacy key performance indicators (cpKPIs)
- Prior experience working as a clinical pharmacist or pharmacy leader in academic teaching hospital, preferably with exposure to geriatrics, specialized complex care, rehabilitation, and internal medicine populations
- Experience with hospital accreditation, regulatory inspections, and organization change
- Prior experience in staff management, project management, and quality improvement initiatives.
Preferred:
- Fluent in French and English

- Demonstrated initiative, accountability and proactive pursuit of personal and team goals
- Dedication to continued learning and professional development
- Demonstrated leadership, participatory management, and team-building skills with proven ability to inspire, motivate, and effectively lead and mentor teams
- Intermediate computer skills
- Advance knowledge of medical terminology
