EXECUTIVE BUSINESS MANAGER TO CEO OF LAW FIRM(remote)
Auger Hollingsworth is an accident and injury law firm with offices in Ottawa and Toronto and is determined to become Ontario's largest personal injury law firm.
The CEO is a lawyer who is looking for an experienced Executive Business Manager to work closely with him and his leadership team to scale firm infrastructure and achieve the firm's growth goals. The role requires an ambitious hard-working
action taker
to complete many tasks relating to all law firm departments, including firm operations, marketing and human resources. The successful applicant must thrive on taking direct, hands on, immediate action and task completion.
This role is all about getting as many things done as possible with excellence as directed by an ambitious, busy and creative visionary entrepreneur and lawyer.This is an interesting role for a "take charge" task doer and project manager. No two days will be the same.
You will be a key support to the leadership team and will be the executing bridge between the ownership team and operations, marketing and human resources of the firm. You will lead execution in all major areas of the business. You will play a key role in streamlining firm processes, improving operational efficiency and driving firm success and growth.
Requirements
- University degree required (please do not apply if you do not have a university degree)
- You have some experience in business operations and project management
- You have experience directly supporting a professional or business founder
- You're extremely organized and pay close attention to specific details
- You're tech savvy
- You're comfortable proposing a change when you think something can be done more effectively or efficiently
- You're comfortable discussing with the CEO what's working and what's not working
- You're looking for a great company you can grow with and work with long-term
- You pride yourself on always doing your best work, and have a high attention to detail and accountability
- You like working towards seeing tangible results
- You can be trusted with confidential firm and CEO information, including financial information
- You're self-directed, self-motivated and willing to learn the best ways to leverage AI, ChatGPT, Google, YouTube and research to find answers you don't already know (and are willing to ask for specific help when you need it)
- You are interested in lifetime learning, professional development and learning how to become the best professional you can be
- Interested in joining and learning from relevant professional groups
- It makes you crazy if things aren't organized
- Ability to recognize your superpowers and if a task is not your superpower, research, hire and supervise a freelancer or enlist help who does have the superpower needed and who can get the project done
- Strong research skills for locating, interviewing and hiring top vendors, freelancers, fractional workers who can do what we need done
- You're comfortable working with all firm members and teams
- Ability to manage CEO's calendar, review and respond to email, ability to discern what you can answer and what needs input from CEO, book travel

- You have 3+ years of executive business ,manager experience or similar role supporting a professionals or a business leader
- You've got strong project management skills

- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events, mastermind meetings, conferences etc.
- Proficiency in creating SOPs
- Ability to understand, support and execute the CEO's vision
- Ability to travel with the leadership team to law conferences, marketing groups etc., as needed
Who You'll Work With
This is a role that reports directly to the co-founder Richard Auger. You will also interact with other internal and external members of the team, vendors, suppliers etc.
We are looking for someone who wants long-term growth with the firm. This is a hybrid position and the successful candidate must live in Ontario and ideally in the GTA or Ottawa.
