Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines, including basic food preparation and handling
  • Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
  • Restock supplies and ensure the counter area is organized and presentable
  • Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including cleaning and inventory management

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of food industry standards
  • Strong cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems like Micros POS
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus, along with the ability to upsell menu items effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
