Marketplace Controls Auditor (Market Risk) – 12-Month Contract

Location: Toronto

Contract: 12 months, Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Industry: Banking – Market Risk, Controls & Governance Testing

We are hiring a Controls-focused Auditor with 3–5 years of financial-institution or Big 4 Market Risk audit experience. This role is centered on Market Risk control testing, control oversight, governance frameworks, SOX/CRO attestations, and regulatory audit support. You'll partner closely with Treasury & Front Office–aligned risk functions, executing control test plans, documenting findings, preparing oversight reports, maintaining regulatory & control governance artifacts, and supporting quarterly risk attestations. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your Market Risk audit expertise in a collaborative team that values knowledge sharing and ownership of high-quality, well-documented deliverables.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of Controls Audit experience specifically in Market Risk or Financial Institutions
  • Big 4 (Accounting audit) or Market-Risk-audit experience in a financial institution
  • Excellent communication skills (written + verbal, articulate, stakeholder-ready)
  • Thorough audit execution + strong documentation governance skills
  • Market Risk or Treasury/Front-Office-linked controls testing background
  • Not IT Audit / Not an IT Auditor

Nice-To-Have Qualifications

  • Accounting designation (CPA, CA, etc.)
  • Excel, SQL, or Python experience for audit automation or testing support
