Job Summary

We are seeking friendly and organized Hosts to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidates will have at least 1 year or hosting/sales/retail/customer service experience.

They must be professional, engaging and open communicators as they are the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements in a busy restaurant environment.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an accurate wait time if necessary.
  • Manage the seating chart efficiently to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
  • Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with reservations and inquiries regarding menu offerings.
  • Utilize the reservation system to accurately account for seating capacity as well as ensure guests have the best experience possible when arriving.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area.
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist guests with any special requests or needs, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with bussing, food running and drink running as necessary.
  • Assist servers in anticipating and fulfilling guest needs in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is required, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and staff alike.
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
  • A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service to enhance the guest experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to multitask during busy shifts
  • Willingness to assist in all areas as needed, including full execution of assigned sidework in a timely fashion.
