Job Description
Position: Custodial
Wage: $22.00
Schedule: Monday to Friday 230pm to 11pm
Location: St. George's School - Vancouver
We are looking for a Environmental Service Attendant 1 to join our dynamic team. This position is a full-time role (FULL TIME). You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction.
As a member of our housekeeping team, you will always provide the highest quality of customer service, while maintaining the premises in a clean and orderly manner, including:
· Cleaning offices, common areas, washrooms, halls, food service areas, and any other areas that may require attention
· Cleaning desks, ceilings and vents, walls, blinds, kitchenettes, microwaves, washrooms, furniture, windows, floors and carpets
· Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, polishing floors and replenishing supplies
· Emptying trash and garbage containers
· Lift and handling up to 40lbs
· As well as other duties as assigned
· Attention to details
Physical Demands
o Work activities involve body postures other than, or in addition to, Standing and/or walking such as bending, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
o Work activities involve co-ordination of upper limbs.
o Work activities involve handling loads between 10 kg and 20 kg.
o Prolonged walking and standing
Support Event Set Up as needed - tables, chairs, etc.
Qualifications
Qualifications
One year of experience preferred
Ability to use tools and equipment and to perform the physical aspects of the job
Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, willing to go beyond the basics
Ability to work under supervision and follow standard procedures, and compliance with all health and safety standards
Personal and professional integrity, appearance, and demeanor
A Building Worker Certification would be helpful

How You'll Make an Impact:
clean offices, patient/resident rooms, dormitories, classrooms, schools, common areas, restrooms, lobbies, food service areas, and any other areas that may require special attention.
Sweep, mop, buff floors and vacuum hallways, stairways and offices. clean ceilings, air vents, walls, furniture, windows and window coverings.
Empty garbage cans and containers, restocking supplies, linen and change sheets as needed.
Clean carpets or polish floors using the appropriate mechanical equipment.
Move furniture and set up tables and chairs.
Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer and Sodexo standards.
Drive a golf cart or other types of vehicles.
perform routine maintenance on equipment and make minor repairs as required.
Communicate to your supervisor the need for major repairs or the addition of lighting, heating and ventilation equipment.
Take inventory and support the product ordering process.
Assign and check the work of subordinate employees, assist the manager in scheduling and training employees.
