Position Overview

The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of production, scheduling, supply chain, and facility operations. This leader will be responsible for transforming our manufacturing model from a primarily project-based workflow into a repeatable, process-driven system, ensuring consistent delivery, profitability, and scalability.

This is a senior leadership role ideal for someone with a background in metal fabrication, industrial design, or custom vehicle manufacturing, who thrives on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production operations across trailer, truck body, and custom fabrication divisions.
  • Implement standardized processes, KPIs, and production scheduling systems to improve workflow efficiency and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Operations Manager, and General Managers to align daily operations with strategic goals.
  • Oversee project scheduling, production planning, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory control, and vendor relationships to optimize cost and supply reliability.
  • Introduce and refine systems such as ERP/MRP, timesheet tracking, and digital workflow tools.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (lead times, margins, rework, on-time delivery).
  • Lead and mentor department heads — including fabrication, assembly, parts, and logistics — fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Drive safety and compliance initiatives across all departments.
  • Support future facility expansions, capital equipment purchases, and layout optimization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
