Production Technician – Natural Health Products

Location: Port Coquitlam, BC

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

Compensation: $22.00–$26.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We're helping one of our top clients in the natural health products industry find an experienced Production Technician to join their growing manufacturing team in Port Coquitlam, BC.

About the Opportunity

Our client operates a modern, GMP-compliant facility dedicated to manufacturing premium natural health products under Health Canada regulations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on production work, takes pride in precision and quality, and wants to grow with an established organization in the natural health sector.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operations & Production

  • Set up, operate, and maintain blenders, encapsulators, bottlers, and labeling equipment.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and monitor equipment performance.
  • Measure, weigh, and blend raw materials according to strict formulations.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust equipment during runs to maintain product quality.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Perform in-process inspections and record all production data according to GMP standards.
  • Ensure all finished goods meet Health Canada and company specifications.
  • Maintain batch records and promptly report deviations or non-conformances.

Inventory & Facility Maintenance

  • Assist with raw material tracking and labeling.
  • Keep production areas clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards.
  • Follow all WorkSafeBC and internal safety procedures.

Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in natural health product, nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Proficiency in operating production machinery and automated systems.

Technical & Physical Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for handling capsules, powders, and packaging components.

Preferred Assets

  • Post-secondary education in chemistry, biology, or a related field.
  • GMP or HACCP certification.
  • Experience with encapsulation or blending systems.
  • Forklift certification is an asset.
