Position Summary
The Finance Administrator plays an essential role in supporting the smooth operation of the Finance Department and, in turn, the hotel's day-to-day operations. This position handles accounts payable and receivable, daily audits, reconciliations, inventory tracking, and compliance—requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and professionalism in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Process purchase orders and contractor payments.
- Conduct daily audits, prepare deposits, and assist with bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Maintain credit card tracking, vendor communication, and internal documentation.
- Manage the finance inbox, inventory tracking, and office supply orders.
- Oversee cash levels, tip distributions, and sales updates (F&B, Spa, retail).
- Assist with recipe costing, POS integration, and administrative projects.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.
- Contribute to improving processes and financial efficiency across departments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years' accounting or finance experience, preferably in hospitality or F&B.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (asset).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with Sage, Maestro, Opera, or similar accounting/PMS systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and hotel financial workflows.
- Excellent organization, analytical ability, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Adaptable, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities.
