Finance Administrator

Nita Lake Lodge Resort & Spa – Whistler, BC

Full-time | On-site | Finance Department

Position Summary

The Finance Administrator plays an essential role in supporting the smooth operation of the Finance Department and, in turn, the hotel's day-to-day operations. This position handles accounts payable and receivable, daily audits, reconciliations, inventory tracking, and compliance—requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and professionalism in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Process purchase orders and contractor payments.
  • Conduct daily audits, prepare deposits, and assist with bank reconciliations.
  • Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Maintain credit card tracking, vendor communication, and internal documentation.
  • Manage the finance inbox, inventory tracking, and office supply orders.
  • Oversee cash levels, tip distributions, and sales updates (F&B, Spa, retail).
  • Assist with recipe costing, POS integration, and administrative projects.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.
  • Contribute to improving processes and financial efficiency across departments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years' accounting or finance experience, preferably in hospitality or F&B.
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (asset).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience with Sage, Maestro, Opera, or similar accounting/PMS systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and hotel financial workflows.
  • Excellent organization, analytical ability, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Adaptable, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities.
