Ultrasound Technologist

Position Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual Relief

Hourly Rate: $39.01-$47.27

Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus of up to $3,000

Wentworth Halton X-Ray & Ultrasound is the region's largest and most comprehensive provider of out-patient diagnostic imaging. WHXR clinics are located in Hamilton,Stoney Creek, Waterdown, Burlington and Oakville. Multiple openings are currently available at our Hamilton and Halton locations. Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited training program in Ultrasonography
  • Current member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Professional designation of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)
  • Current Sonography Canada member with Professional liability insurance
  • Must have the knowledge, skills and judgment as identified in the CMRITO "Essential Competencies" to perform the services and procedures that fall within the scope of practice of the profession
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
  • Proven ability to organize work, set priorities, and manage time effectively, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in both independent and team-based settings
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast paced clinical environment
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism in all aspects of diagnostic imaging

Full-time hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Part-time hours: 15 to 22.5 hours per week

Casual Relief Minimum: 15 hours per month
