We are currently hiring a full-time Service Writer/Warranty Administrator to join our Service department.

As the Service Writer/Warranty Administrator, you are responsible for:

  • Greet and work with customers to determine mechanical issues, schedule appointments, and create work orders
  • Obtain, verify, and validate that correct information is in our Point of Rental system (serial/VIN numbers, equipment hours, company, contact, phone numbers)
  • Provide excellent customer service by providing updates on service progress via telephone or Kenect
  • Escalate customer complaints and service issues to the attention of the Service Manager
  • Completing warranty paperwork for submission to dealer in accordance with their requirements
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage and ensure all correct documentation is in place for submission within 14 days of completion
  • Work with Heavy Equipment Technicians to get accurate information for stories to bill customers and create estimates
  • Close work orders and complete payments when customers pick up serviced equipment
  • Create and complete Purchase Orders for outside purchases
  • Assist with parts and inventory when required

You have the following skills and experience:

  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to use problem-solving skills to troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience with warranty policies and procedures
