Summary

Reporting directly to our Mitigation Manager, we are seeking full-time Restoration Technicians to join our team. Our Restoration Technicians are responsible for completing the labour tasks involved after a disaster event, and ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards, in a quickly changing work environment.

General Duties:

  • Follow work orders to carry out all necessary mitigation and restoration work (e.g., extract water from residential homes and commercial buildings)
  • Demolition of affected areas as instructed by Lead and/or the Project Manager
  • Pack, list, clean, and dispose of contents and furniture, which can include lifting and carrying heavy loads
  • Must be willing to participate in a rotational on-call schedule and periodically attend to 24-hour emergency calls

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cleaning and restoration services
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in construction
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of medium (frequent) to heavy (infrequent) level work
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of construction practices is an asset
  • IICRC certifications are an asset (e.g., WRT, FSRT, Mold, etc.)
