Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative / Application Specialist to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional within manufacturing or someone with a strong technical background looking to transition into sales.

Relevant backgrounds that tend to succeed in this role include:

  • CNC Programmer
  • CNC Machinist
  • Industrial Sales / Distribution
  • Manufacturing or process improvement roles

You will support existing customers, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with our internal technical team to deliver measurable manufacturing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an assigned sales territory within the GTA
  • Visit customer facilities to understand applications, challenges, and tooling needs
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demos, and on-site support
  • Work with engineering and technical teams to recommend effective tooling solutions
  • Identify new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline
  • Maintain CRM activity notes, territory plans, and regular reporting
  • Provide feedback to product development on market needs and trends
  • Prospect and cultivate new customer relationships

Qualifications Required

  • Experience in manufacturing, machining, CNC programming, industrial distribution, or technical sales
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Light hearted attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory
  • Self motivated, organized, and able to work independently
  • Strong spoken and written English

Preferred

  • Background in cutting tools, CNC machining, feeds/speeds, or process optimization
  • Experience in solution-based or technical sales
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM, machining processes, or shop floor operations

Schedule & Territory

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
  • Travel throughout the assigned GTA territory
