Telco Steel Works is looking for excellent team players to join our growing business in the fabrication of steel structures for the Ontario market.

Joins us at our 50,000sqft automated metal fabrication and material handling facility, located within easy access to the 401 and highway 6 north in Guelph, providing an ideal location for commuters and local employees.

This is a progressive position with Telco Steel Works Ltd. in Guelph, ON, a fabricator of structural steel buildings. This job is the beginning of a career where you will learn the different operations tasks and responsibilities of our business. Your progression will depend on your attention and adherence to safety, your ability to learn different jobs, the speed at which you become proficient in each new job/task and your personal preference for your development.

Telco has many different jobs that involve industrial painting, shipping, material handling with forklifts and overhead cranes, CNC machine operation, surface preparation and structural steel fitting and welding.

The General Operations – Level 1 position is a full-time, permanent, entry level support roll that gives you the basis for understanding how our fabrication process works and is the basis for progressing to other duties as your skill level and knowledge improves. The successful applicant can progress to any of the jobs within Telco Steel Works and will receive company supported training and development in the task/role. The successful applicant will receive MLITSD (Ministry of Labour) approved training to ensure their safety in the operation of the various processes that we utilize.

Duties of a General Operations -Level 1 employee can include painting, loading, material handling, assistance with machine operation and repair/maintenance on an as-required basis. You may also be tasked to process materials on a saw or shear and help build a load for shipping to the erection site.
