A Day in the LifeThe Principal Training and Education Operations Specialist is a full-time position responsible for identifying innovative solutions to maximize current resources and accelerate capabilities to conduct the majority of new product and indication training in Canada. The incumbent will also keep abreast of latest trend in medical education, to drive continuous improvement in how we deliver HCP education. In addition, they will be responsible for metric and success tracking, certification and recertification database, program planning and licences/hardware.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (may include the following and other duties may be assigned):  

Metrics and Success Tracking
o Assesses and determines gaps in the workflow of T&E team to optimize 
processes, tools and frameworks to enable scalability, efficiency and 
knowledge sharing.
o Leverages data and learning analytics to iterate content design, prove ROI of 
T&E spend, and guide scale decisions; publish innovation outcomes and best 
practices for knowledge sharing.

o Plans, develops and maintains metrics for education programs for Medical and Academic professionals to measure impact on procedural, technology and 
product adoption to improve patient outcome
o Works cross-functionally with various internal departments to develop strategy for cross portfolio initiatives and ensure field employee/HCP needs are met.

Innovation
o Leads a continuous innovation agenda for Training & Education by identifying, 
piloting, and scaling emerging modalities (e.g., AI-driven personalization, 
microlearning, omnichannel learning journeys).
o Where feasible, expands and operationalizes the use of immersive 
technologies (e.g., MedXR, AR/VR simulators, 3Mensio) to increase training 
reach, reduce cost per learner, and accelerate time-to-competency for HCPs 
and field teams.
o Establishes a repeatable "incubate-to-scale" process for new solutions 
(discovery, pilot, evaluate, scale), with clear success criteria, change 
management, and adoption plans.
o Partners cross-functionally (Marketing, Sr. Manager, Commercial, IT, 
Compliance) to integrate innovative learning models into product launches, 
ensuring consistency and measurable impact across portfolios.
Certification & Recertification
o Maintains database of field team certification and recertification status per 
global guidelines to ensure patient safety
Program Planning 
o Provides professional communication with HCPs and the field to manage 
Canadian physicians' participation in VIP events 
o Manages the ordering and shipping of product for Skills Labs
o Ensures cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance requirements are embedded 
from concept to deployment.

o Maintains database of physicians with master service agreements and notify 
appropriate team member 90 days in advance of expiry
Licenses and Hardware
o Obtains information needed to coordinate the ordering of products for 
demonstration and maintain oversight of current of demonstration products
o Maintains licenses and hardware for T&E team, included but not limited to: 
3Mensio, MedXR and simulators
o Maintains simulator request database and track location of all simulators
o Manages the shipment of simulator products for regular maintenance in 
communication with the field team.

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Typically manages major / moderately complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products, at times acting as a team leader.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have broad knowledge of project management.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or;

• Associate's Degree, or;

• Bachelor's Degree 

JOB EXPERIENCE 

• 11+ years relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent degree, or;

• 9+ years of relevant experience with an Associates Degree, or;

• 7+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or;

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

• Proven effectiveness in planning, coordinating with and reporting activities to 
Operations Head 

• Proven communication, listening and motivational skills 

• Experience in digital training platforms


• E-learning 

• Available to travel in and out of the country

• Experience as an educator with significant experience working in Medical Device technology and providing training to HCPs and Sales Associates 

• Experience in extracting key learning's from training and quality work, turning them into recommendations on best practice, and communicating up to management 
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

• Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PowerBI) 

• Ability to effectively cooperate with multiple stakeholders and balance competing priorities
