About Robins Interiors

Robins Interiors & Design provides high-quality interior products and custom cabinetry to homeowners, builders, and contractors throughout the Sussex to Saint John corridor. We're the sister company to J.M. Robins Construction Ltd, which means we work with homeowners from the ground up - often designing both their homes AND their dream kitchens and bathrooms.

We're experiencing strong growth and need an experienced cabinet designer who can handle the entire process from client consultation through to final installation coordination.

The Role

As our Cabinet Designer, you'll be the face of our cabinetry division. You'll meet with clients, visit homes for measurements, design stunning kitchens and bathrooms using 2020 Design software, prepare accurate quotes, and coordinate with our team to ensure flawless installation. This is a full-service design role.

· Meet with clients (home buyers and retail customers) to understand their needs, style preferences, and budget

· Visit homes and job sites to take accurate field measurements

· Design custom kitchens and bathrooms using 2020 Design software

· Create detailed cabinet layouts with elevations and 3D renderings

· Select appropriate cabinet styles, finishes, hardware, and accessories with clients

· Prepare accurate quotes and estimates for cabinet packages

· Present designs to clients using 3D renderings and make real-time adjustments based on feedback

· Coordinate with Product Coordinator on material ordering and lead times

· Support Store Manager with retail customer consultations and showroom sales

· Review shop drawings and specifications before ordering to ensure accuracy

· Coordinate with installers to ensure design intent is achieved

· Handle revisions and change orders as needed

· Maintain organized project files and documentation

· Stay current on cabinet trends, materials, and products

· Strong client-facing skills

· Ability to create accurate quotes and estimates

· Deep knowledge of cabinet construction, hardware, and materials

· Understanding of kitchen and bathroom design principles and best practices

· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Organizational skills for managing multiple projects at various stages

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

· Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

· Professional appearance and demeanor for client interactions

NICE TO HAVE:

· NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) certification or training

· Experience with other design software (Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp)
